It’s interesting how different disciplines describe similar concepts. The propaganda analysis — in terms of the “institute” — never explained “how” transfer occurred. It just explained that it was an effective method of persuasion.
Metaphor theory sounds a lot like the cognitive theories of neural networks and mental models. These explain how we learn to connect concepts and employ them in our inferences and interpretations.
